Odd Nordstoga
 about

Odd Nordstoga comes from Vinje in Telemark, Norway. He is a multifaceted artist with a strong identity and has been a professional musician and recording artist for over 12 years. Nordstoga's last two albums have established him firmly as one of the top selling artists in Norway. His music is based on the Folk and Rock traditions of which he has made his own local, Nordic variant. His philosophy is to make music that strongly relates to the tonality and harmony of traditional Norwegian folk music and at the same time is well rooted in contemporary popular music and it's ability to communicate with today’s listeners. It has taken Odd Nordstoga some years to find this brilliant combination that has become so well accepted among Norwegians.

Odd was awarded 2 Spellemann prizes (The Norwegian Grammy) for “Best Male Artist” and “Artist of the Year”. He has also performed the role of Papageno in the “The Magic Flute” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, an opera performed at 40 venues in 2005 under the auspices of The Norwegian Concert Institute.

In 2009 he will tour Norway in connection with the release to his last album “Pilgrim” that has been received with accolades in the press and his ever growing audience.
