New Solo CD, Scandinavian Concert Tour & Christmas TV Appearances

On November 15th, Sissel released her first solo album in 5 years entiltled "Til deg" (For You). The album immediately topped the Norwegian album charts on it's release.

Sissel and her band will perform 21 shows in Norway and Sweden this Fall/Winter season in performing a wide repertoire including songs from her long awaited and soon to be released album. The Norway tour begins on November 13th in Sissel's hometown of Bergen, and will take Sissel and her magic ensemble through Norway from south to north - ending the Norwegian leg of the tour in Harstad in early December.

Then in February & March - it's Sweden & Denmark's turn to experience the enchantment of Sissel's performances! Tour dates for all countries now published at Sissel's web page (see menu item "Concerts & Events")

The Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Danmarks Radio, have once again recorded their annual Christmas show at the Aalborg Congress and Cultural Center with a star speckled array of International and Scandinavian artists. Among the headliners at this years show is none other than Sissel!! The show will air on TV on December 18, 2010 on DR1 in Denmark, December 24th on SVT1 in Sweden and December 25th on NRK1 in Norway.

Secret Garden

Secret Garden was recently awarded a Quadruple Platinum Trophy for their latest Norwegian release titled, "Inside I'm Singing". With 120,000 CDs sold, this represents yet another great moment in Secret Garden's history. The album debuted in the number #1 position of the Norwegian VG Album Charts and maintained that position for 5 straight weeks. "Inside I'm Singing" was the top-selling album of the year in Norway in 2007. Both Fionnuala and Rolf are thrilled by the response they've received in Mr. Løvland's homeland, Norway and are eagerly looking forward to releasing the album internationally this year. The duo is extremely grateful to all the artists who lent their amazing voices to this special production of vocal versions of Secret Garden music.

Secret Garden was commisioned to compose a Suite for Secret Garden and orchestra for the Norway Pavllion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. The entire suite was recorded and filmed on location at Expo with the Zhe Jiang Symphony Orchestra. Secret Garden received an award from the Expo bureau in Shanghai for the Expo Suite. The suite was commissioned for the Expo 2010 by Innovation Norway. The Norwegian pavilion used the music throughout the 6-month event and played it nearly 3000 times for over 3 million visitors.
Dance With a Stranger

At the time being there is a highly popular TV show running on in Norway, "Korslaget" (Battle of the Choruses), a competition where seven choirs are participating. Dance With a Stranger's vocalist Øiving "ELG" Elgenes is one of the favourites to win on the competition. Elg has assembled and is conducting a chorus of highly qualified amateurs from his home town Kristiansund.

The Norwegian Concert Institute has engaged Dance With a Stranger's composer and acclaimed guitarist, Frode Alnæs, to lead the music ensemble through an extensive tour with the performance "Rock 'n Roots". The show tour venues all over Norway in the Fall of 2009 and early Spring 2010.

Odd Nordstoga

Odd joined fellow Continental Artist Management artist Sissel this Christmas with a joint CD release and Christmas Concert Tour in 2009. It proved to be the major Christmas album & tour of the season in Norway.

While touring in Norway this last spring, Odd presented his album "Pilgrim" and is touring this winter He currently touring in support of his latest and very successful CD album "November". Odd's band consists of a quartet - well known percussionist Erland Dalen, Thomas Tofte on bass bringing the deep frequences forward and the viritouso folk musician, Daniel Sandén-Warg on fiddle and jaw's harp.
